Pumping Iron With The Latest Gadgets

This, above any other time, is the time of year when people’s attention turns to weight loss. Of course, there are the impending summer holidays which we all like to slim for and there are the major life events such as weddings that people like to lose those extra pounds for but Christmas has to be the one time of year where the majority of the population add to their girth.

There is always extra time off work, there is always plenty to watch on the TV and there is always plenty of chocolates and mince pies to comfort ourselves with while we stay in the house all cosy and warm. However, come January and we go back to work feeling more lethargic than ever before. All our work clothes are too tight and we’re feeling the need to do something about it.

Go back a few years and this concern would have been the domain of women, with their strongly felt pressure to look a certain way. However, there are just as many men these days that are concerned, not just with their looks but also with their health. The British nation has taken their own well-being on as a personal aim – just as it should be.

To that end, the diet and exercise industry are making a killing. In a bid to be the one to provide the perfect product for getting us in shape quickly and with little effort on our part, many inventors have come up with product design that revolves around our health and fitness. Products such as:

The iJoy Twist. This clever little gadget resembles a small seat. You sit astride this seat as it moves and twists and bucks. If you don’t use your muscles to stay on you will end up on the floor – it’s that simple. It is intended to give you the same sort of workout as dancing – and we know how in trim most dancers are!

The joy of this machine is that it can be used in a small space in the house, even in front of the TV. This is perfect for parents who need to be around for their young children and don’t want to spend hours slogging their way through the gym but promises to give you toned abs, thighs and bottom.

At the other end of the price scale and especially for men comes product design results that will strengthen the forearms. This is a notoriously difficult part of the body to build up, but the Power Wrist Forearm Strengthener is a simple idea that fits neatly over the arm and helps build up the forearms and wrist.

For either sex, and for a middle of the road price range, the Six Second Abs is a way of getting the most out of the traditional sit up by controlling the tempo and directing all efforts into the abdominal muscles. Like much in the way of product design for exercise equipment, it’s all about reducing the time spent exercising for the same effects.

For those who are dead serious about getting the body of their dream, you could always invest in the Life Fitness Parabody Smith Machine. At a cool 1200 pounds it will stretch, exercise and tone just about everything.

These are a few simple examples of what is out there at the moment and they are all effective methods of body toning and weight loss. Of course, you could stick to the cheap and cheerful act of cutting back on junk food and walking more but if you can afford the latest in product design and this is the way you wish to get that better body, then who am I to argue. Anything that improves the health of the nation is a good thing in my book.
